Our Internet Infrastructure Is Now Much Stronger!

We are very pleased to inform you that the work on the fiber optic infrastructure of our data center and the region — which we have been working on for a long time but
could not complete for two years due to various obstacles and bureaucratic difficulties — has been rapidly resolved and completed in the last 6 months!

In light of this work, while our internet infrastructure has transitioned to a multi-operator structure,
our network backbone has also been renewed seamlessly and in a manner compatible with the multi-operator structure through the investments we have made from January 2021 to the present.

As the only data center in our geographic region serving all of
Turkey, the investments made by alternative operators in Netinternet’s internet infrastructure are quite valuable both for our company’s users and for the region as a whole. You can now have closed-circuit internet access from Denizli all the way to Frankfurt, and
thanks to the possibilities brought by the multi-operator structure, you can guarantee the continuity of your business.

Our redundant fiber infrastructure is currently serving through TurkNet. Additionally, we will very soon be providing service connected
directly to Turkcell networks. Through Comnet, over which we are carried between Denizli and Istanbul via closed circuits, we have also gained direct access to the world’s most important and largest networks, primarily Seabone as well as Cogent, Hurricane Electric,
and Verizon. Since we also have direct access to many internet exchange points through the circuits between Istanbul and Denizli, we have also gained the ability to reach platforms like CloudFlare, Microsoft, and Google without intermediaries.

In the
coming days, as the number of operators connected to Netinternet rapidly increases, we wish to harvest the fruits of all the steps we have taken and all the investments we have made — by taking advantage of being the only data center in our geographic region — in
order to transform into a hub where fiber infrastructures converge and become the regional center of the internet, together with all our users.

The new multi-operator internet access options for server rental, virtual server, cloud services, and hosting
services have been made available without any additional charge. All cabinet-owning virtual data center customers can access all of these new capabilities by paying only a very small difference of 1 TL in their megabit fees upon request. The pricing is no joke — it is
completely real!

We will also be able to arrange the BGP sessions we have always offered to our users free of charge as default-route, so that within approximately one month they will be available as full-route for free to all who request them. Moreover, you
will now be able to request BGP sessions for any service, such as a virtual or physical server. All requests will be fulfilled free of charge.

Our company, which aims to always have an open peering policy, will continue to provide anycast solutions free of
charge as well. You can review our peering policies on our website’s about page at this link.

We also consider the replacement of our network backbone with Juniper MX series switches without
any service interruption to be a success story in its own right. Throughout the entire process, thanks to weeks of configurations and testing, all our main backbone infrastructure was updated and migrated to our new infrastructure in a fully redundant manner without
the slightest service interruption. Together with the new backbone, we have also provided our users with various capabilities on our network infrastructure through BGP communities, free of charge. Although we offer a very detailed automation system for announcement
and IP management, those who request it can also manage their entire network from their own systems using the communities we have created.

Finally, it has been decided to make policy changes regarding IP announcements and various technical matters related
to our new infrastructure, and we will inform you about all these processes in a separate blog post.

Respectfully.

We Are Starting to Accept Visitors Again as of June

As you know, due to COVID-19, entry to the data center has been closed to everyone except our customers and technical staff since March, and all physical operations for
our colocation customers have been carried out free of charge by our company. During this period, in which only material and server entry and exit were permitted, with Denizli moving out of the risk category and restrictions being lifted in a controlled manner, we
decided to end this process in June with new visit rules. With a decision made on May 20, 2020, we decided to reopen visits to the data center on June 1, 2020 with new rules. During this process, we had our facility disinfected and took some precautions for our
customers’ visits.

Within the scope of this decision, the rules and working conditions set by our company — taking into account the normalization process also being implemented in our country — effective from June 1, 2020, are as follows:

- Data center
visits must be communicated in writing (Support Ticket - Email) at least 1 day in advance and the visit must take place upon approval.

- In the data center customer work area, only one customer can perform physical operations at a time. The visit notifications
are organized by our staff accordingly.

- Visits will only be accepted for physical operations, product deliveries, and similar essential situations. Visitors will not be accepted for meetings.

- Visiting customers will only be admitted to the data center
wearing masks and gloves; visitors without masks and gloves will absolutely not be allowed inside.

- Two rounds of contact tracing registration are performed at the entrance along with temperature measurement; visitors with a temperature of 38.5 degrees Celsius
or above will not be allowed inside.

- Only one person authorized to perform physical operations may enter the data center. Third parties accompanying the authorized person or more than one person will not be admitted to the data center.

- Visitors
may only be in the customer work area and the white area with a staff escort; they may not be in rooms or work areas belonging to other units.

- Visitors coming from cities that are at risk will under no circumstances be admitted to the data center white
area. All their operations will be conducted in the customer work area.

- Physical operations are carried out free of charge only for companies located in cities still under weekend curfew due to being at risk.

For the health of our employees and business
continuity, compliance with these rules is mandatory for all our visitors.

Please be informed, and we wish you healthy days.

Major Support for Pamukkale University's Internet Infrastructure

We at Netinternet have started providing services to eliminate problems experienced with internet access and cyberattacks at Pamukkale University — our
city’s most valuable brand, a house of learning and wisdom, which has been a constant source of pride for us with its successful professors and academics in recent times.

During this period when the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire world made the
uninterrupted operation of the university’s internet network critically important — as remote education was adopted — we accomplished very significant work to ensure that approximately 53,000 enrolled students can access the university’s Education Support System
without any issues.

We Donated a Service Worth Approximately 150,000 TL Annually to Our University

At the conclusion of our work that has been ongoing for approximately one and a half months, our university now receives its internet access not only
from Ulaknet but also from Netinternet in a multi-operator structure. In the event of any error or malfunction on Ulaknet, the entire internet access will continue to operate seamlessly through Netinternet.

The new internet connection’s current capacity can be
increased up to 40 times within seconds if needed.

With our Anti-DDoS service capable of providing protection up to 2,000 Gbps over the new internet connection, protection has been established against all volumetric DDoS cyberattacks that may target the
university network.

Additionally, the university’s education support system has begun to be fully protected by Netinternet’s 100% domestic-developed Netinternet WAF (Web Application Firewall) service, developed by Netinternet within Pamukkale
Technopolis.

Pamukkale University, which was exposed to very large volumes of cyberattacks, has become protected from cyberattacks and has started providing uninterrupted service following the completed work.

Our university now has its own autonomous
system (ASN) number and has attained infrastructure features and multi-operator internet redundancy in terms of internet infrastructure that no other state university possesses.

As Netinternet, being Turkey’s data center hosting the most websites, we are very
happy and proud to have brought all the capabilities of our company — which has the highest internet infrastructure capacity in Denizli — to Pamukkale University completely free of charge.

Additionally, regarding the entire process, we thank Pamukkale University
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Atar, who trusted us and entrusted us with the university’s internet infrastructure. We also thank Pamukkale Technopolis Deputy General Manager Mesut Aydınlı for his assistance in managing the process
and for the infrastructure collaboration. Finally, we also thank the staff of the IT Department Directorate who worked long hours throughout the establishment of the infrastructure for their efforts.

6 Tips to Boost Your Corporate Website on Google

The highly competitive online world constantly reminds website administrators to stay vigilant. Because
websites that are not updated, that cannot keep up with current rules, and that cannot act according to these rules will be shown less in search results and their organic visitor counts will drop significantly. For this reason, it is necessary to act in accordance
with search engine algorithms and revise websites according to the demands of these algorithms. The biggest benefit of being compatible with search engines is being able to attract organic visitors through a one-time investment or periodic adjustments made at certain
intervals, without paying any additional fees. Organic visitors mean the target audience entering the website and then converting into users in categories that will generate revenue for the site.

Corporate websites must be compatible with search engines for all the reasons mentioned above. In this article, we will talk about some rules that can boost a corporate website to the top rankings on Google.

Original Content

The first thing to do to rank high on Google is for the website to consist entirely of original content. Using copied content on web
pages causes them not to appear on the first page of search results. For this reason, all pages of the corporate website must be filled with original content. By original content we primarily mean text and visual content. The most important factor in ranking at the
top is having texts of sufficient length and images that are uniquely produced. A web page must be filled with at least 300 words of original content. Longer texts are generally more useful, except in cases of excessive repetition, lack of information, and similar
issues.

This rule must be applied to every sub-page of the corporate website — including the homepage, as well as the about us, products, references, services, contact, and product category
pages, regardless of how many there are. Websites that have achieved this have covered a significant distance toward ranking at the top.

SEO Rules

For a web page and a website to rank at the top of search engines, they need to perform SEO — search engine optimization. One of the rules for ranking at the top on Google is to comply with the rules demanded
by the algorithms. Original content is the most important rule of SEO. But this text must be written according to specific rules. HTML tagging, keyword usage, heading hierarchy, use of secondary keywords, linking, and image usage are all sub-rules that make up the
SEO rules. Texts written according to these rules can rank at the top. Additionally, correct linking throughout the site and doing external SEO as well as internal SEO are necessary. In particular, SEO work should not remain only within the site — activities such as
getting backlinks outside the site are also necessary. As a result of all these efforts, ranking at the top on Google will become easier.

Social Media

Among the SEO rules we just mentioned, we also counted getting backlinks outside the site. Social media platforms are one of the most important environments both for getting backlinks and for attracting
visitors. Having a corporate presence on social media is the easiest way to share links. For this reason, the corporate website needs to have accounts on social networks and make regular posts.

In addition to these, sharing web pages on social media sites is also beneficial for ranking at the top on Google. Website links shared on social media by different people will bring social media visitors and will signal to Google that the page is worth sharing.
Social media sharing, which is one of the supporting rules for ranking at the top, is a rule that should not be overlooked.

Mobile Compatibility

Since this is the mobile internet era, a corporate website must absolutely be mobile-compatible. Because Google shows non-mobile-friendly websites in lower rankings. It is known that a large portion of the
traffic of many websites comes from mobile. For this reason, the corporate website being prepared must be designed to open not only in desktop browsers but also on mobile devices.

Web
Hosting

Now for one of the most important rules. Google sends fewer visitors to slow-loading websites, even if the site content is excellent and pages are prepared according to all the
rules. For this reason, it is necessary to build a fast-loading website. There are two key points to pay attention to here. A fast-loading website must have a well-written codebase on an infrastructure that doesn’t overload the server. Sites whose infrastructure is
not suitable for this will be slow even on fast web hosting. But since slow web hosting will also make a fast site load slowly, the second key point comes into play. Regardless of other factors, a fast web hosting service is needed for a fast-loading website. For this
reason, we recommend that you examine the fast web hosting packages that Netinternet offers you. Remember that a fast-loading website will rank above a slow website in the same category on Google.

SSL Certificate

Finally, we will touch on a topic that Google has specifically announced recently: the secure website. Regardless of its category, secure websites rank above
insecure websites. What provides the secure website feature is an SSL certificate. An SSL certificate converts site links from http to https. Secure websites use SSL certificates as a wall against malicious people trying to steal information. For this reason, Google
gives more importance to these sites. If you want your corporate website to rank at the top, you must use an SSL certificate. As Netinternet, we offer you the best SSL certificates. You can visit our SSL certificate page to get the SSL certificate suitable for your
corporate website.

5 Things to Consider When Choosing Web Hosting

Web hosting refers to when a web hosting provider allocates space on a web server to store a website’s files. In other words, the provider you choose
allocates storage space on their server for you, and you manage your website using that allocated space. Web hosting makes all the files that make up a website (photos, code, etc.) available for online viewing. Every website that is visited is connected to a web
server.

The amount of space allocated to a website on a server depends on the type of hosting. The main hosting types are shared, dedicated, VPS, and reseller. They differ in the type of server technology used, the level of management provided, and the
additional services offered.

The concepts of web hosting and server, which make websites available online, are often confused. What we call a server is the web server that stores all of your website’s data and makes it accessible to users. In other words,
servers perform the ‘hosting’ operation. Web hosting, as mentioned earlier, is the process of storing a website’s data.

Web hosting services vary from one another. Depending on the features you want on your website, the web hosting service or servers you need
to choose will also vary. To benefit from the best advantages of web hosting, you need to find the right web host. With so many options available, how will you choose your web hosting service?

Correctly
Identify Your Website’s Needs

When getting web hosting service, the most important thing to consider is correctly determining what kind of website you need. Think about how much you want to grow your business and site in the future and what you want to
accomplish, and make your decision accordingly. It is beneficial to think broadly and with a long-term perspective, but without overextending yourself financially. Paying high fees unnecessarily is not very sensible.

The right web server will support the
platforms or creation tools you need to build the website you want, and will also provide adequate storage, speed, and reliability for your site. For example, do you need to process online payments? Are you writing a blog or creating a visual gallery? Some web hosts
offer specialized tools and infrastructure for certain types of websites or functions. What works for someone else may not be suitable for you, so make sure you find web hosting that truly meets your specific needs.

Also, at this point, whether you are building
your own website is quite important. Are you building your own website or do you want to use a DIY website builder like Wix or Squarespace? Think about whether you want your services bundled.

Research the Company
Thoroughly

As with everything, brand recognition, reliability, and user experiences are very important in this matter. When a business consistently provides good service to customers for years, word spreads. So how do you find out what a company’s
reputation is? Look for evidence from third-party sources. Have they won any web hosting awards from reputable organizations or websites? Can you find their reviews in technology publications?

While researching the company from which you will get web hosting
service, you should also find out how they handle customer service. If you encounter a problem with your website late at night, can you find a solution? Or will you have to wait hours for any resolution? For this reason, working with a company that can provide 247
service will be much more beneficial for you. Make sure your web host offers first-class customer support at all hours of the day. Bonus points if they offer multiple ways to get in touch — phone, email, or live chat — so you can choose based on what works best for
you.

Get a Site Access Guarantee

One of the most frustrating things on the internet is websites loading slowly or failing to load at all. If your website is for a business, every moment it’s
unavailable costs you money. Even if it’s a website you started for fun, you risk frustrating visitors who find they can’t access your site every time they try, and losing your followers as a result.

This problem doesn’t just bother users; it also bothers
Google, which starts giving less value in organic search results for that address. Therefore, make sure the web hosting service you rent offers the best uptime quality.

A web hosting company’s primary job is to keep your website online and accessible. Every web
hosting company will occasionally need to perform maintenance that temporarily takes your website offline. And if servers are not properly maintained, they can overheat or break down, meaning your website will be inaccessible for even longer periods. One of the
biggest differentiating factors in the quality of web hosting providers is how well they manage the types of issues that could take your website offline. Reputable web hosting companies routinely promise at least 99% uptime. The best web hosting companies go even
further, offering 99.9% uptime backed by a money-back guarantee.

Get Support for Your Future Plans

You’ll probably buy hosting today that immediately meets your needs — which is perfectly natural.
But you also have big plans for the future. You hope that in the coming years, the number of people who find your website and become regular visitors will increase. Maybe you’re hoping to continually create new content to add to your site.

In either case, you
need room to grow. Most new websites get everything they need with an affordable shared web hosting plan, but as a website grows in size and popularity, you’ll at some point want to upgrade to a cloud hosting, VPS hosting, or even a dedicated hosting plan. When that
time comes, switching will be much easier if you’ve stayed with the company you chose from the beginning. Upgrading is simpler than a full migration to a new company. So make sure you choose the right hosting with the future in mind.

Pay Attention to Pricing

If you want to have a website, web hosting is of course a necessary cost, but that doesn’t mean it needs to be expensive. Simple shared web hosting plans start at less than $3 per month. When deciding
on the right hosting plan for your site, remember that web hosting is not a one-time cost — web hosts use a subscription billing model. Make sure the cost is something you’re comfortable with going forward and that it appears proportionate to the plan’s value.
While many new websites will do just fine with the cheapest hosting plan, some will find it worthwhile to spend more on additional features and higher bandwidth. Sometimes spending more is worth it — just make sure the value matches the price.

Don’t forget to
consider these points before getting hosting service for your website. This way, you can get the most suitable hosting service for your site.

10 Things to Do Before Starting E-Commerce

E-commerce has become an indispensable part of the world we live in. Especially after Covid-19, with its
significantly expanded target audience and increased global traffic, e-commerce — while being its own separate sector — has also become a platform where all sectors need to have a presence.

We wanted to create a guiding article for those who want to start somewhere in e-commerce and succeed in this field. We have compiled the essential preparations for those starting in e-commerce under 10 headings.

Make Sure You’re Making the Right Decision

Your idea may seem perfect to you and those close to you at first. However, things don’t quite work that way
in e-commerce. Have you done a thorough and comprehensive analysis? Do people have a need for what you’ll offer? Is my capital sufficient for this? What are the risks? Ask yourself these questions again, and if your answers satisfy you not just emotionally but also
financially, continue to stand behind your idea. If you need to change some things and start over, realizing this before you’ve started anything at all is quite advantageous for you.

Don’t Hesitate to Spend Money on Your Site

You may be right that at the very start of the process a highly professional site isn’t required, but the site component should definitely
not be where you cut costs. On the contrary, you should use software that you can modify later and that won’t cause you problems down the road. For this reason, if you trust your developer, don’t have doubts about investing in the site.

Know Your Target Audience

Make sure you know who you are producing the product or service for, and who you want to buy it. This
will be a very important detail in all advertising and communication efforts when introducing yourself. Don’t start anything without knowing this.

Don’t Neglect SEO

We live in an era where people even ask search engines what time it is. If you’re going to make money online, you must rank high in search engines, because this is what will make you the preferred choice.
For this reason, don’t forget to include the right keywords on your website and blog. If necessary, consult an expert for this.

Be Careful When Determining the Payment
System

The payment system used on your site must be secure and functional both for you to receive payments and for your customers to make payments. If you want to sell by credit card,
don’t forget to apply to banks for a virtual POS; if you want to sell via alternative payment systems (PayU, BKM Express, etc.), bank transfers, and EFT, don’t forget to set up the necessary accounts.

Don’t Underestimate the Importance of Social Media

In recent years, where social media usage has reached incredibly high rates regardless of age, social media is an
invaluable opportunity for e-commerce sites. As much as it’s an opportunity, it also poses a great danger if you make wrong moves. Therefore, don’t underestimate social media, show your followers what makes you different from your competitors, and make sure to
measure the returns there with professional help.

Create a Mobile-Compatible Site

As much as we want to
avoid clichés like “this is the year of mobile,” the truth is that at the end of 2019, the number of transactions made via mobile surpassed those made via desktop. This means that your site’s mobile appearance and ease of use are just as important as the desktop
version. Build your software with this in mind.

Conduct a Thorough Competitor Analysis

You want to enter
e-commerce in a given field, but someone has certainly started selling something similar before you. Conduct a thorough analysis of all your competitors, big and small, and focus on your strengths over theirs. Focus on why people should choose you over them, and make
sure to highlight these qualities in the right places.

Keep Your Customers Happy

Anyone who does business,
from street vendors to large-scale commerce, knows that customers must be kept happy. The goodwill gestures made offline — with intentions like “let them get used to coming here” and “let them be satisfied with their experience” — need to be reflected online as well.
The simplest examples include free shipping, gift vouchers above a certain amount, or access to discounts and deals through special clubs. You can of course be even more creative — it’s entirely up to you…

Don’t Skip Security

We mentioned that your software’s infrastructure needs to be solid and that it’s right not to hesitate to spend money on this. At this stage,
cybersecurity must also not be forgotten and preventive measures should be taken from the start. This is of course again a topic you need to discuss with your developer first.
Net İnternet’s solutions will help you.

Above, we explained the things
that must definitely be done before starting e-commerce. We hope this article inspires you and that you can pursue the business you’ve always dreamed of. We wish our readers success on their e-commerce journey from the start.

use your site and how they find it.

Knowing that 35% of the internet is built with WordPress, Google also knows that these WordPress sites make use of its own applications. Google
Analytics and Google Adwords are among the most well-known of these. For this reason, to make the lives of these web administrators easier, Google has created an official plugin called Site Kit.

Site Kit can help you analyze the performance of your WordPress site with PageSpeed Insights, which is related to the work we do in WP Rocket. But you can accomplish much more than that with Site Kit.

What Does Google’s Site Kit Plugin Do?

Site Kit helps you easily connect to six different Google services. It also helps you display data from
most, if not all, of these services in your WordPress dashboard. You can connect to the following Google services with Site Kit, and view the first four directly in your WordPress dashboard.

  • Google Analytics
  • Search Console
  • AdSense
  • PageSpeed Insights
  • Optimize
  • Tag Manager

If you’re wondering how you’ll interact with these services: you can view your site’s performance in PageSpeed Insights, and view Google Analytics and Search Console data for your entire website or
specific pages. AdSense makes it easier to view your earnings and even add ads to your sites. For the last two services — Optimize and Tag Manager — Google Site Kit helps you add integration scripts to your site. However, you’ll still need to use the external website
to create and manage A/B tests and tags.

Site Kit doesn’t perform any of the mentioned operations on its own, but it makes it easy to connect with Google’s applications that carry out
these functions — in other words, it simplifies the integration process of these applications with WordPress. For example, if you haven’t manually added Google Analytics to your site, Site Kit can help you add the tracking code.

Once your services are integrated, Site Kit gives you access to key metrics from within your WordPress dashboard. For example, while you could previously browse your homepage or any page’s traffic with
Google Analytics, Site Kit now lets you see this data directly in your WordPress dashboard.

Under normal circumstances, you don’t need a plugin to connect any of these services to
your WordPress-built website, but Site Kit makes the process much easier. You simply need to grant the necessary permissions to Site Kit.

How to Install the Google Site Kit
Plugin

Some users encounter issues during the Google Site Kit installation, but if you follow the steps carefully, you’ll likely have no problems.

Install and Authorize the Google Site Kit Plugin

To get started, install and activate the Site Kit plugin. You can find and
download the plugin from the WordPress dashboard. You will then need to authorize your WordPress site with your Google account. After activating the plugin, you’ll see a blue button that says ‘Start Setup’. Clicking this button will take you outside your WordPress
site to the Google Site Kit website. You’ll need to press ‘Sign in’ with Google to begin the authorization process. At this point, you’ll need to go through the standard Google authorization interface. Select your Google account and click the button that says
‘Allow’. After that, a ‘Continue’ button will appear.

If you haven’t set up Google Search Console for your website yet, you can also have Google automatically add your site to
Search Console as part of this process. When you’ve completed the basic Site Kit setup process, you’ll see a prompt to return to your WordPress dashboard.

Connect Additional
Services

At the point where you’ve done the above, your WordPress site is only connected to Google Search Console. To connect additional services, you need to open the Google Site Kit
plugin settings by going to Site Kit → Settings.

Then, click the ‘Connect More Services’ tab to access additional services. To connect a service, click the ‘Set up’ option below
the name of each service.

Some products may require additional authorization and setup steps, but essentially what you need to do is as simple as clicking a few
buttons.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you will have finished installing the Google Site Kit plugin.

Is Google Site Kit Worth Using?

In general, there isn’t much negative to say about using Google Site Kit for WordPress. At most, if you only plan to connect a single Google
service, Google Site Kit might be a bit overkill for you. However, if you plan to use several different Google services at the same time, this application will save you an enormous amount of time. The ease of integration is nearly unmatched by any other plugin — as
explained above, just a few clicks is all it takes for each one.

Another positive is that Site Kit doesn’t pressure you to connect more services at any point. For example, if you
only want to use Search Console, you can do so without annoying pop-ups in your dashboard suggesting Analytics.

Additionally, Site Kit won’t slow down your load times because it
won’t add any new content to the front end of your site (even if you’ve chosen to manually connect Google Analytics to WordPress).

One downside of using Site Kit is that it doesn’t
offer configuration options for the services you’ve connected. Going to Site Kit > Settings will show whether the plugin is working and give you the option to send tracking data to Google, but that’s essentially the extent of the
drawbacks.

How to Use Site Kit

After connecting to all available services, you can use the newly
opened Site Kit tab in your WordPress dashboard to view them all. The Dashboard and Main Dashboard will present you with high-level data from all your connected services.

After
entering the Site Kit tab, you can also use the toggle button to change the time period you’re looking at.

If you use AdSense, you’ll also see your earnings data here. And if you
scroll to the bottom, you can also see performance data from PageSpeed Insights for your homepage. If you want to view information about a specific piece of content on your site, you can use the individual page search or the info publish box to search for a piece of
content by name.

If you’re using these services for the first time, it may be better to visit each service’s own website. This is because you don’t have the chance to observe each
service separately to customize data in Site Kit. Site Kit provides you with more of an aggregated and easy-to-read data presentation.

However, some of the services you’re connected to
also have their own dedicated tabs under the Site Kit menu. You won’t find much new information here — for example, the only new data in the Analytics tab is an overview of your audience. But there’s a useful addition you might not immediately notice: the Site Kit
plugin provides you with direct links to open more information in the relevant service. For example, you can click to open a specific report directly in the full Google Analytics interface.

You can also view statistics for a specific page on the front end of your website via the WordPress toolbar.

What Is Hosting and Domain (Domain Name)?

What Is Hosting?

Hosting, in its full Turkish equivalent, is a word meaning “to host” or “to accommodate.” As its meaning implies, hosting refers to
storing data somewhere.

When you want to set up your own website, you first need to own a domain (domain name), and to build a website on that domain name, you also need to have a hosting service. The two basic things you need to publish your workplace,
company, or personal interests and hobbies on the internet are a domain and a hosting service.

Hosting service is provided through computers with high internet speeds. However, these computers are industrial machines with high processing power and resources.
These computers, called servers, are produced to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — unlike the ones we use at home. Servers are produced with the capacity to run for
months or even years without shutting down or malfunctioning. Thanks to these powerful servers, hosting service is provided with a high uptime rate, and websites are accessible virtually 247.

To briefly describe hosting service: the service that stores the data
belonging to your website, keeps it accessible to your visitors at all times, and broadcasts at high speed through servers is called web hosting.

Web hosting is offered in two forms based on the infrastructure installed on the servers:
Windows Hosting and Linux Hosting. While software that runs on Windows-based servers operates on Windows hosting, software that runs on Unix systems operates on Linux hosting. Our company provides hosting services only as Linux
hosting with a cPanel infrastructure.

What Is a Domain (Domain
Name)?

Domain is the name that allows easy access to your website through a browser. If domain names didn’t exist, we would need to memorize IP addresses to access websites on the internet. For example, to access our company’s site, you would
need to remember the IP address 159.253.40.22. There are many complex IP addresses like this and similar ones in the world. Since memorizing these complex numbers would be difficult, and to make things more understandable, domains were invented. This is why you can
access our company’s site by typing netinternet.com.tr instead of the IP address.

There are many domain name extensions used globally around the world. The most well-known and widely used of these domain names are the com, net, and
org extensions. The .com extension, first used on March 15, 1985, with the registration of symbolics.com, is currently the most widely used extension in the world.

In addition to original domain extensions like Com, Net, and Org, each
country also has its own domain extension. Our country’s domain name extension is .tr. Domains with extensions such as com.tr, net.tr, and org.tr are domains belonging to our country. Our company does not sell .tr extension domains. The control of TR
extension domains belongs to NIC.TR, a company based at METU.

To check the domain extensions we register and to purchase a domain name for yourself, please click here.
