I will briefly explain what RSYNC is, its usability and areas of use at an entry level. I will continue providing more information about RSYNC with more advanced explanations in later articles.

RSYNC is an indispensable copying system especially in cluster machines. Rather than just copying, you can also use RSYNC as an update software. For example, let X and Y be two servers. We copy the /home directory from server X to server Y using RSYNC. A total of 10GB of data is copied. After 1 day, we copy files from server X to server Y again, and in the 2nd copy, we ensure that only files whose size, format, or date have changed during the 1-day period are copied. This time, only 400MB is transferred from server X to server Y. This gives us a huge bandwidth saving.

RSYNC can use transparent shells like rsh or ssh. It does not require root privileges and can transfer files to another location without changing ownership, group, or permissions (chmod values). By compressing data during file transfer, the transfer speed is much faster than normal transfer.

Example commands:

Copy all jpg files to remote server

rsync /home/osman/public_html/images/*.jpg root@212.68.41.1:home/osman2/public_html/images/

rsync -avz root@212.68.41.1:home/osman2/backup /backup/osman

Copy with all attributes preserved

rsync -avz -l -p -t /osman/file /home/osman

Each time you run the last command, it will only copy changed files. This provides a great time saving and reduces traffic between servers on different networks.

In this campaign prepared for new and existing Virtual Data Center customers, discounts of up to 40% are provided for annual commitments on 50 Mbit and above virtual lines.

Example Configuration:

A customer purchasing 30 Mbit connection at normal tariff pays 690 TL. By doubling capacity to 60 Mbit with a list price of 1200 TL, they receive a 20% discount and can have 60 Mbit connection capacity for 960 TL.

Similarly, a customer purchasing 100 Mbit connection pays 1600 TL normally. By doubling to 200 Mbit with a list price of 3000 TL, they receive a 40% discount and can have 200 Mbit connection capacity for 1800 TL.

Campaign General Terms:

1. This campaign starts on January 1, 2015 and ends on December 31, 2015.


2. The Virtual Data Center campaign is valid for both existing and new customers.


3. A minimum commitment of 1 year is required for all customers included in the campaign.


4. Prices within the campaign are valid for the duration of the contract.


5. Customers may cancel their contracts to take advantage of a new campaign with better pricing.

In this campaign prepared for existing Sanal Datacenter customers with 100Mbit or higher connections who double their capacity, a 40% discount is provided on the tariff.

New customers can benefit from the campaign by receiving normal service for 1 month and joining the campaign in the 2nd month.

Example Configuration:

A customer purchasing 100Mbit connection at normal tariff pays 1600 TL. By doubling capacity to 200Mbit with a list price of 3000 TL, they receive a 40% discount and can have 200Mbit connection capacity for 1800 TL.

1. This campaign starts on June 1, 2013 and ends when 10Gbit capacity has been sold.


2. The Sanal Datacenter campaign is only valid for existing customers.


3. A minimum commitment of 1 year is required for all customers included in the campaign.

An SMS notification system has been added to the Netinternet automation system. Customers will be able to receive SMS notifications to their registered GSM numbers in the following situations:

Microsoft has made constructive changes to server license pricing. Previously licensing was done according to the operating system used, but now it is priced according to the number of physical processors and processor cores on the servers. After this change, licenses and their pricing are as follows:
