What Did Netinternet Do in 2018?

As we do every year, we would like to inform you, our valued customers, about what we did in 2018, which we will leave behind in a few days, what changes occurred in our company and infrastructure, and about our investments and new services. We are starting to share the 2018 Z report with the changes in our infrastructure;

We increased our UPS system, which was positioned as one active and two standby in parallel, from three to four, with two active and two independent standby, taking into account our increased capacity. Since the four UPS systems currently work in parallel with each other, each operating at 23.45% load capacity, we are at a level that can provide uninterrupted power even in the extraordinary case of three of them going out of service at once.

We also strengthened our air conditioning system infrastructure, which was positioned as one active and two standby, taking into account our growth rate. In the past spring months, a new generation Emerson Liebert Hiross device with a three-motor dual (3x2) condenser that operates redundantly within itself like our other devices was integrated and the necessary paralleling operation was performed to enable it to work online with other air conditioning systems and activated. Our cooling capacity reached 430KW power (~1.5 Million BTU).

Regarding physical areas, a new corridor was added to our closed corridor smart cabinet systems positioned at intervals appropriate to data center business standards to ensure safe cooling. Considering customer needs, the highest quality products from industry-leading brands such as KAEL, ABB, Schneider Electric were used in our cabinets, all 47U in size, with redundant PDU and precision energy meter.

Towards the end of 2018, while increasing our internet access capacity by 50% to have a larger, wider network bandwidth capacity, we also made the same leap at 100% in DoS-DDoS filtering systems. We started receiving services from domestic operators in addition to foreign operators for DDoS filtering. With these service purchases, we included Netinternet in 2 Tbps (2000 Gbps) filtering capacity for DDoS filtering abroad and 360 Gbps filtering capacity domestically.

The cost of network equipment, servers and all other investments purchased during the year has been calculated at over 1.8 Million Turkish Lira. Of course, we will not only share the work we did by spending money in 2018. We continue to announce new services, completed projects and changes in services…

The www.ilkbyte.com project, which was started in 2017 and completely developed by our company, was completed and went into service. Inspired by overseas examples and developed 100% by Netinternet in Turkey, Ilkbyte offers hourly-billed, easily installable and rescalable SSD-based servers. Ilkbyte, our domestic and national software, is a complete virtualization automation system using KVM virtualization technology.

Netinternet was renewed with version 2.0. With the new version, our website gained new capabilities in many areas with the changed software infrastructure. The domain management system was completely changed. It was reorganized to be much faster and according to user requests, service-specific pages related to service management were added. As soon as our integration with the new payment institution we started working with was completed, many features such as credit card storage, one-touch payment, automatic renewal of selected products with credit card were gained. Netinternet 2.0, which works fully integrated with the network automation system, is completely developed by our company and continues to be developed in line with the requests and feedback of you, our valued customers..

Again, our network automation system, which has been completely developed by our company for approximately 10 years, changed the technologies it uses this year and achieved a performance of more than 10 times. Our system, which was completely rewritten with new programming languages starting to be used within our company, continues to work fully integrated with all operators and operator services we work with using new technologies. Finally, our new network automation system has been made manageable by our customers for their own networks via the internal API.

A new service exclusively for those who want to focus only on their work, Managed Servers, was also offered to our customers this year. Our existing customers and newly joining customers showed tremendous interest in our service. We will continue to develop the scope and features of our Managed Servers service, which is 100% managed and monitored in real time by our technical team, with the feedback of our existing customers in the coming year.

We have now started registering domain names through our ICANN-accredited affiliate company Digivity B.V. After a year’s break, we will be presenting amazing domain name campaigns you have missed as we enter 2019!
