If your disk capacity is insufficient for backing up your sites on virtual or physical servers, or if you do not want to allocate disk space on the server for backups, you can use the cloud storage space provided by Yandex.
First, you need to create a new account at disk.yandex.com.tr. The opened account comes with 10GB disk capacity. You can increase Yandex Cloud storage space as needed, up to a maximum of 1TB.
For this operation, after logging in to WHM panel, go to Backup Configuration under the Backup menu.
After making all backup settings on the server side, for the Yandex Disk backup operation, select WebDAV from the Additional Destinations section and continue:
- Destination Name: Any description visible to you
- Backup Directory: Name given to the folder created on Yandex (can be left blank)
- Remote Host: webdav.yandex.com
- Port: 443
- SSL Enabled: Check this
- Remote Account Username: Yandex username
- Remote Password: Yandex user password
- Timeout: 60 or 80 seconds
After all operations are complete, select Save and Validate Destination to confirm. To activate the backup system immediately, connect via SSH and run:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup –force
After the operation, you can check your Yandex disk.
