After the hosting campaign where the unit price of 1 Mbps was reduced to ₺2.80 Turkish Lira launched for customers receiving virtual data center services that we shared with you recently, our new campaign has started in our Anti-DDoS Firewall service!
First of all, we would like to announce that the clean traffic size of our DDoS protection service, whose protection capacity has risen to 1 Tbps (1000Gbps), is now at 10Gbps level. In the campaign launched for the Anti-DDoS firewall service, Smart Cabinet owner colocation service customers will receive a 70% discount in exchange for an annual commitment until the night of December 31, 2018, i.e., year-end, regardless of any lower/upper limit or purchased internet capacity.
As always, our existing customers with committed services can also benefit from this campaign without breaking their commitments. The deadline for this campaign, which is valid for all old and new customers, is the night of December 31, 2018.
How Does Anti-DDoS Firewall Work?
The equipment and internet bandwidth used in providing this service are provided bidirectionally by Turk Telekom and another contracted foreign operator. While our foreign operator is located at one of the world’s largest internet traffic exchange centers, our domestic operator is by far one of the largest operators in Turkey.
Anti-DDoS works in sensor mode by default, and automatically switches to filtering mode when an attack is launched towards your IP address. Customers who request it can have their IP addresses always work in filtering mode.
The firewall also provides protection at Layer7, this feature is activated upon user request and provides protection against sql injection and software backdoor attacks. Despite data traffic being encrypted with SSL, Layer7 protection can also be operated in Layer7SSL mode. For this, SSL certificate information to be used for the IP address is requested from our users.
Netinternet provides services through more than one operator. If there is a delay in your access times due to receiving firewall service only through the operator located abroad, you can also request that your IP addresses be announced simultaneously in a way that protects attacks that can come domestically to all operators we peer with.
The service purchased for the Anti-DDoS service cannot be transferred to different IP blocks according to our company policy. Firewall management can be offered to the management of customers who request it. Users with a firewall service can also request special ACL rules and networks specially configured against attacks by Netinternet, beyond the filtering capabilities provided by the foreign operator. These services are not defined/provided for users who do not use Anti-DDoS firewall service.
