SpamAssassin is an automatic email filtering system that works by identifying spam messages based on the content of email headers and body sections. With
SpamAssassin, you can automatically delete messages marked as spam, or add an email address or domain to a blacklist/whitelist. SpamAssassin examines spam characteristics for each individual email message.

We need to enable SpamAssassin to be able to use it.

The filter value comes as “5” by default; you can increase the sensitivity level later. An important point to note is that the “Auto-Delete Spam” option must not be active. Otherwise, emails identified as spam will be deleted automatically.

When we click on the “Configure Apache SpamAssassin” option, you can filter based on the email address in the blacklist from field and blacklist that address. Similarly, by adding a mail address to the whitelist, you can ensure that important emails that appear as
spam are still received. Some email addresses manage to pass through spam filters despite sending spam — in this case, to prevent that mail from reaching you, you should add this mail address to blacklist-from. Finally, to activate this configuration, you must press
the Save button at the very bottom.
